A couple of months ago, I came across an ad for a subscription called Book of the Month. I was immediately intrigued so I clicked and took the deal of the first three months free, just to give it a try.

The first book I received was called "The Silent Patient" by Alex Michaelides. I finished it in less than a week. I just got my February book right to my door and started reading it.

I have only received two books from this service so far but I think its great. This is how it works: You get an email at the beginning of every month with a list of five different books of different genres, usually including thriller/mystery, historical fiction, young adult, and science fiction. You choose the book you want to get delivered to you. If you aren't interested in any of the book, you can skip that month for free.

Subscription boxes are not a revolutionary idea. They have been becoming more and more popular with all different kinds of boxes, like BoxyCharm or Ipsy Bag for beauty products, FabFitFun with products for women, and TrunkClub for fashion, among many more.

Book of the Month, to me, is one of the most worthwhile boxes you could purchase. Whether you love reading and are always buying books or your new year's resolution is to read more, Book of the Month makes reading more so much easier.

The service narrows down your options each month so choosing what you want to read is an easier decision. They always provide a variety of genres to cater to whatever you like to read and you can always skip if you don't see a good one. It's relatively cheap, $15 a month, for a good quality, hardcover book. And the book gets delivered right to your door! All you have to do is open the box and get reading!

Reading is so important and I think everyone should do it. I love curling up with a good book, one I choose to read, after a long day of reading for classes and doing schoolwork. It's a good stress reliever to disappear into someone else's story and it helps get you out of your head for a little while.

Furthermore, nothing beats an old fashioned, good quality paper book. I get so tired of looking at screens all the time and moving so fast. Opening a book grounds me and slows my mind down.

If you want to read more, I strongly recommend Book of the Month. Its so convenient and the books are so good! You don't even have to leave your house to go to a library or a bookstore. It takes almost all the barriers away; you can't make any excuses when all you have to do is click and wait for the box to arrive.

Happy reading!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
