Whether you are religious, not religious, don’t follow the same religion as I do, or just don’t follow a religion at all, I still believe that everyone should read these Bible verses at least once in their lifetime. They are very inspiring, motivating, and uplifting.

John 16:22 - So with you: now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy

Luke 1:45 - Blessed is she who believed that the lord would fulfill his promises to her

John 16:20 - Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve but your grief will turn to joy

Psalm 46:5 - God is within her, she will not fall

Exodus 14:14 - The Lord himself will fight for you, just stay calm

Joshua 1:9 - Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go

Psalm 28:7 - The Lord is my strength and shield

Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you, say the Lord. They are plans for good, not disaster, plans to give you hope and a future

1 Corinthians 15:10 - By the grace of God, I am what I am

Psalm 139:14 - I praise you because I am wonderfully and fearfully made

Proverbs 31:26 - When she speaks, her words are wise, she gives instructions with kindness

Matthew 11:28 - Even the strongest of us have moments when the burdens of life seem too great. It’s then the Lord whispers to our hearts, come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest

John 20:29 - Blessed are those who believe without seeing

John 13:7 - Jesus replied, “you don’t understand what I’m doing now, but someday you will”

Isaiah 7:9 - If you don’t stand firm in your faith, you won’t stand at all

Psalm 23:6 - Why would I fear the future? For I am being pursued only by Your goodness and unfailing love

Galatians 6:9 - Let us not become weary in doing good

James 1:6 - But when you ask you must believe and not doubt. Because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea blown and tossed by the wind.

Romans 8:18 - The pain that you’ve been feeling can’t compare to the joy that’s coming

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
