Before or once summer finally arrives, we all definitely have that list of things we want or have to do during our break. It's many Americans' favorite time of the year, other than Christmas of course, and that means it's time for new and better memories than the summer before.

We can all deny it, but Netflix and/or Hulu will probably be the outcome of our boredom at some point and who better to relate to than your favorite tv show characters? Here are the best parts of summer as told/displayed by Ron Swanson from Parks & Recreation.

1. Avoiding work and responsibilities.

Those summer courses may just have to wait until the late session. Just keep spinning...

2. Eating breakfast food way more than you should.

It's all fun and games until the people at your local diner learn your name.

3. Attending weddings, graduation parties, etc.

"It's my third cousins' wedding. I sort of know her."

"I went for the food."

4. Catching up with all of your friends you haven't seen in awhile.

Take over my house? Sure.

5. Going to your local beach/lake or going on vacation.

Some of us can't enjoy the beach all year round! I'm looking at you Florida and California.

6. Barbeques.

Need I say more?

7. Going on those "adventures" that never usually go as expected.

Sure, let's drive to that place we are not sure totally exists. At least it will be a story we can tell.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
