What's On Netflix

The final season of New Girl just premiered yesterday and I am really sad that this show only got seven seasons. We were all blessed to be introduced to the most dynamic foursome (and later five-some with Cece) the world has ever known. We can all relate to Nick, Jess, Schmidt, and Winston in some way or another and I will really miss their witty banter and tender moments. Here are my picks for the best episodes you can watch if you're ever missing the show.

1. "Pilot (1X1)

A given. You have to go back to where it all started.

2. "Kids" (1X21)

Cece thinks she's pregnant with Schmidt's child (little does she know....) and he reacts in true Schmidt fashion. Also, the line "I wanna rub my his on his face" is used which is also funny.

3. "See Ya" (1X24)

Nick is moving out, they end up in the desert, there's a part where Jess has to scare off a coyote. There are so many good one-liners.

4. "Menzies" (2X7)

all I'm going to say is, "PUPPY IN A CUUPPPPP"

5. "Pepperwood" (2X14)

Nick is convinced that one of Jess' students is trying to murder her so we'll just leave it there.

6."Quick Hardening Caulk" (2X19)

Nick starts to have goals and Jess can't handle it.

7. "Chicago" (2X20)

This one is tender but also funny because there's a rousing rendition of "In The Ghetto".

8. "Elaine's Big Day" (2X25)

WINSTON IS IN THE DUCTS WITH A BADGER

9. "The Captain" (3X4)

Lot's of strange stuff in this one, I'm not going to lie.

10. "Keaton" (3X6)

Schmidt thinks he's been a pen-pal with Michael Keaton, turns out it's been a huge lie (obviously).

11. "Prince" (3X14)

You have to include the one with Prince.

12. "Dice" (4X2)

All of the guys get stoned and Winston is trying to make friends with the rest of the LAPD (this is when he just became an officer).

13. "Background Check" (4X6)

Jess and Winston think that aquarium rocks in their bathroom are meth and one of Winston's superiors walks in on the whole thing.

14. "Spiderhunt" (4X17)

Schmidt is in RARE FORM in this episode.

15. "Big Mama P" (5X1)

Schmidt is literally so cute in this episode. There's an engagement party and Jess falls down some stairs. It's a funny one.

16. "D-DAY" (5X12)

Jess is finally back from jury duty in this episode (well in 5X11) but the show finally gets funny again when she comes back.

17. "Jeff Day" (5X15)

A car shopping experience takes an interesting and as always, funny, turn.

18. Landing Gear (5X22)

Cece and Schmidt's wedding. This one actually makes me emotional, especially when Schmidt finally breaks the douchebag jar. It's tender.

19. "Hubbedy Bubby" (6X2)

Cece and Jess end up going to a "darty" to register some gals to vote. Besides it perpetuating the "dumb sorority girl" stereotype, it's hilarious.

20. "The Hike" (6X14)

Jess and Robby have been dating for a hot minute but in this episode, they find out that they're actually related and that's why they have so much in common.

21. "Glue" (6X16)

Jess and Nick try to publish Nick's book by hand and end up getting really high from the fumes in the glue.

22. "Five Stars For Beezus" (6X22)

FINALLY NICK AND JESS GET TOGETHER, AND FOR REAL THIS TIME. HALLELUJAH.

Now, with season seven closing out the show, I can't wait to see how they end it forever. However, I'm so sad that they can't just make it go on and on. I guess all good things must come to an end.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
