2017 might have been horrible, but these moments made the year a little bit brighter.

2017 was a rough year for many people across the world. From the Machester Arena bombing during an Ariana Grande concert to the Las Vegas Massacre during the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival.

2017 was filled with tragic moments for all countries around the world. But, if you can look past the horrible moments, you can see the beautiful moments of 2017.

Even though a lot of the year was filled with many bad things, there were still some moments that made those bad moments look a little better.

1. The Women's March

There were about 4 to 5 million people who participated in the Women's March in the United States.

2. 2017 TIME Person of the Year

The women who spoke out against sexual assault, or as TIME magazine calls them "the Silent Breakers," won TIME Person of the Year 2017.

3. Viola Davis at the Oscars

Viola Davis became the first black actor to win an Oscar, Emmy, and Tony.

4. Australia legalizes same-sex marriage

The law change started on December 8th and the first same-sex marriage occurred on December 16th.

5. Trumpcare Fail

If Trumpcare would have been a success, an estimated 14 million people would have lost their healthcare coverage in 2018 alone.
