The Best Candles to Put You In a Fall Mood

It's never too early in my book to start preparing for fall. Bring on the oversized sweaters, apple orchards, Halloween movies, and best of all, fall-themed candles. Although the leaves haven't started to change yet, I'm preparing for Fall early by putting my sage, spiced, apple smelling candles to good use. What's better than doing your homework with a good smelling candle making the room feel so cozy. These are my favorite candle for the fall season.

1. Bath and Body Works "Leaves"

This may be my favorite Fall candle of all times. My roommate and I both bought one for our rooms, so our apartment will probably smell like this candle all Fall, but I am not complaining about that!

2. Capri Blue "Volcano"

The scent of a Volcano candle. Need I say more? Although this isn't a scent just for Fall, it's one of the best smelling candles out there. It fits perfectly into Fall vibes with its warm, rich aroma. This candle is a bonus because it can be used all year round, but it's my favorite to use during Fall.

3. Hearth & Hand With Magnolia Candles

These candles are made by Chip and Joanna Gaines so that automatically makes them amazing. (There are on the show "Fixer Upper" FYI). With candle scents such as "Harvest", "Cedar Magnolia", and "Fireside", these candles scream Fall.

4. Bath and Body Works "Sweater Weather"

Another Bath and Body Works candle for the win! "Sweater Weather" is another perfect fall candle that will make you want to wrap up in a cozy, warm sweater. I say this because I have it lit in my room as I type this and I feel in the Fall mood already!

5. Homesick "Pumpkin Patch" Candle

A pumpkin patch is the epitome of fall, so having a pumpkin patch candle will make you so ready for fall! This candle will make your pumpkin spice dreams come true.

With all these candles my room it is going to smell like Fall for the next three months, and I'm totally okay with it. And while Fall only lasts a few months, Winter follows and also has some pretty incredible candles to put you in the holiday spirit.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
