Ever looked at your photos and thought they needed that extra oomph? Sometimes it can be difficult to find certain apps that will help edit photos the way you want, but these applications will surely help you find that aesthetically pleasing image that you desire! Not to mention that they're also free!
UNUM
UNUM is a highly recognizable app, known for assisting with organizing your feed. This application allows you to arrange your photos in any order that you see fit. Being able to visually see ahead of time what your feed will look like can help you figure out if any photos need any additional editing. Not only does this app help with organization, but also with photo editing!
To edit a photo you simply tap on a photo that you imported onto the grid and then the edit option will appear at the bottom of the screen. While it won't help with adding colors into your photo, it will help adjust basic edits such as brightness, exposure, contrast, saturation, vignette, fade, tint, temperature, highlights, and clarity. You can also adjust your photo to a different size using the adjust option in editing.
UNUM also has a feature for analytics and scheduling. The analytics option lets you see how well your photos are reaching out to people and when the best time to post is for more engagement! The scheduling option organizes when you want to post. Simply input a day and time and the app will notify you at that time to post.
Lightroom
Lightroom is a photo editing software on Adobe Creative Cloud. However, Lightroom is available as a phone app for free! The application basically lets you edit content the same as you would on a computer and you don't need an account to use the features. The only downside is that if you are a photographer that shoots RAW, then you do need an account to edit those photos on the Lightroom phone application.
Meitu
Meitu is described as a Chinese technology app that specializes in smartphones and selfie apps. This app definitely does have a spot in specializing as a selfie app because it allows you to edit your photos in an interesting way. You have the option to edit, beautify, take videos, make collages, and even talk to an AI and ask for tips. For the sake of this article, we'll focus on the editing aspect of the app. You tap the edit option and you then pick the photo you want to edit. You will then have options at the bottom of the screen to edit your photo! What makes this part interesting is that there is an option called 'mosaic.' Mosaic lets you choose from a variety of patterns to brush on your photos! There's glitter, water, holiday-themed brushes, and so much more! You can turn your plain mirror into a sparkling one!
PicsArt
PicsArt, like Meitu, really allows you to go wild on your creative side. On this app, you can do a variety of things similar to that of Photoshop! PicsArt is also the app that popularized the famous effect similar to the scenes where everyone started disappearing in Avengers: Infinity War. PicsArt also lets you do basic edits for brightness, highlights, clarity, etc. What makes PicsArt a great app is the stickers feature! Adding stickers to your photos is like using photoshop. You can add flames to make your photos look hot, add butterflies to your hair, and even make it look like sparkles are swirling around you like a fairy. The only downside to this app is that there are features that can only be used if you pay the monthly fee. Regardless, you can still use plenty of editing features to make your photo pop!
Tezza
Tezza is the app for you if you're looking for a neutral-toned feed! This app has a variety of edits that will help you achieve your neutral-toned photos using the presets that are given to you. Tezza allows you to choose a preset and then you can adjust the brightness, and all the basic editing options, to make sure the photo is to your liking. There is also a 'dust' feature, which allows you to add dust to your photos for a more vintage film kind of look. While there are free preset options to use, there are other presets that can only be used if you pay a fee.
Snapseed
Last, but most certainly not least, is Snapseed. Snapseed is an application developed by Google that allows users to edit their photos using a variety of features. This app really allows you to edit your photos and make them look like they just got developed from a film camera. Everything on this app is so free, including their presets! You can choose the preset of your liking and then, if you want a film aesthetic, add some grain! The grain feature lets you adjust the amount of noise you want in your photo. By adding just the right amount, you'll be able to get that film-like photo you want!
Happy editing!
