What's better than looking like a boujee queen on a college student's budget?

Makeup prices can range from dirt cheap, to a car payment. I'm no “MUA” (makeup artist), but I have dabbled in the world of drugstore makeup.

The products I listed below are my top picks for drugstore makeup that I can't live without. These cosmetic essentials are high quality for a low price and I thank the makeup Gods every day for them. Below, I provided the cheapest price and the best location to find each product. I hope they bless your life like they have blessed mine.

1. Fit Me! Foundation (Maybelline)

If you’re a cosmetic queen ballin’ on a budget and you haven’t heard of this foundation, you're about to thank me. This foundation comes in two options: dewy and matte finish. I personally use the matte finish because my skin is oily, and it keeps my skin matte and the shine is nonexistent throughout my whole day.

Whether you put a primer on or not, this product lasts beautifully all day. The only flaw about this foundation is that there's not a huge shade range. But hey, for the price, you could buy two different shades and mix a color that fits your skin.

$5.94 (Walmart)

2. Master Conceal (Maybelline)

This concealer is magic, that simple. There's no other explanation for how my under-eye bags can disappear so easily. This product gives you FULL coverage and is surprisingly light on the skin, considering the amount of coverage it provides. This concealer also blends seamlessly into any foundation (that I've tried so far).

$7.99 (Target)

3. Butter Bronzer (Physicians Formula)

Before I even talk about the actual bronzer, I need to discuss the scent of it. When you open the compact, it feels like you’ve teleported to a beach on a tropical island, sipping a Blue Hawaii, living your best life. The tropical scent isn't the only reason this bronzer made my list.

The finish of the bronzer isn't completely matte, it gives you more of a satin finish. Similar to coming back from a day on the beach, your skin will have that nice, bronzed glow.

$12.71 (Walgreens)

4. MegaGlo Highlighting Powder (Wet n Wild)

We need to take a moment of silence for this highlighter. I'm not being dramatic, this is the best highlighter I own. Don't get me wrong, I'm not extremely familiar with more expensive highlighters, but I don't feel the need to be when this product does everything I could hope for. Wet n Wild, Y'all did that. When I feel sunlight hit my face while I'm wearing this highlighter, I feel like I'm glowing to the Gods.

$3.99 (Walgreens)

5. Voluminous Carbon Black (L’Oreal)

This is my go-to mascara. For the inexpensive price, I always get backups whenever I go to a drugstore because I go through it so fast. If you wear falsies, this mascara will be your best friend because of how black it is. Sometimes you can see your natural lashes under the false ones. When you use this product it disguises your real lashes into your fake ones perfectly with its rich black color.

$4.99 (Target)

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
