24 Best Christmas Worship Songs
Ben White

With Christmas just around the corner, it's the time to blast Christmas songs. Christmas songs are the best. My favorites are the ones that praise God. It is such a good reminder that this celebratory season is not about Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer or Santa Baby. This is the season to praise God for humbling Himself and coming to earth to dwell with His people. Here are some of my favorite Christian Christmas songs.

1. "How Many Kings" by Downhere

"And how many gods have poured out their hearts / To romance a world that is torn all apart?/ How many fathers gave up their sons for me?"

2. "Silent Night" by Carpenters

"Silent night, holy night! / All is calm, all is bright. / Round yon Virgin, Mother and Child. / Holy infant so tender and mild

3. "The First Noel" by Phil Wickham

"The First Noel the Angels did say / Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay / In fields where they lay keeping their sheep / On a cold winter's night that was so deep"

4. "Mary Did You Know?" by Anthem Lights

"Did you know / That your Baby Boy is heaven's perfect Lamb? / The sleeping Child you're holding is the great 'I am'"

5. "The Little Drummer Boy" by Harry Simeone Chorale

"I played my drum for Him pa-rum pum pum pum / I played my best for Him pa -rum pum pum pum / Rum pum pum pum, rum pum pum pum / Then He smiled at me pa-rum pum pum pum"

6. "Angels We Have Heard On High" by Sanctus Real

"Angels we have heard on high / Oh, the mountains tremble in reply."

7. "O Come All Ye Faithful" by Phil Wickham

"Hail, Lord, we greet Thee, born this happy morning / Jesus, to Thee be all glory given / Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing"

8. "O Come Let Us Adore Him" by Hillsong Worship

"The oceans and skies / Lift up their voice / And all all He has made / Will rise to bless / The King of all kings."

"Born that man no more may die / Born to raise the sons of earth / Born to give them second birth"

12. "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" by Hillsong Worship

"A blessed angel came / And unto certain shepherds / Brought tidings of the same / How that in Bethlehem was born / The son of God by name "

13. "O Holy Night" by Kari Jobe

"Long lay the world in sin and error pining / 'Til He appeared and the soul felt its worth "

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
