Being a college student, I don’t have great access to cable so I rely on Netflix (like a lot of college students) for my entertainment. When the holiday season rolls around, who doesn’t love to pop some candy-cane hot chocolate in the microwave and watch a good Christmas movie? Here’s a list of the best Christmas movies on Netflix:

"Christmas With the Kranks"

This is my favorite Christmas movie. It's based on John Grisham’s book "Skipping Christmas." Nora and Luther Krank decide to skip Christmas, not without some crazy Holiday antics -- and a happy ending!



"I’ll Be Home For Christmas"

Who doesn’t love a good Jonathan Taylor Thomas movie? This movie shows a college student’s trek home for the holidays. Did I mention Jonathan Taylor Thomas?




"12 Dates of Christmas"

I just happened to stumble upon this movie the other day, it’s a lighthearted Christmas movie about a girl who gets amnesia and falls in love with a guy she goes on a blind date with. Plenty of Christmas romance in this movie.



"Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas"

If this movie doesn’t remind you of watching Christmas movies at your grandparents’ house, I don’t know what will.



"A Christmas Kiss"

This is the classic Christmas story of “falls in love with her boss at the Christmas party” story. Cheesy, but good.



"Holiday Engagement"

Everyone knows when you go home for the holidays, the age-old question is, “Are you seeing anyone?” The protagonist of this story goes as far as trying to hire someone to play her boyfriend to bring home for the holidays. I’m guessing you can guess the ending.



DreamWorks Holiday Classics

Who doesn’t love a good animated movie every now and again? All of the DreamWorks characters come together in this collection of Christmas movies on Netflix.



"The Mistletones"

A Christmas movie meets musical. Two singers clash for a spot in the local Christmas singing group. Lots of drama and comedy in this holiday movie.

Now that you have a complete list of Christmas movies, all you need to is add the hot chocolate and cookies, and you have a few nights to get you through to Christmas break!
