"Who is this?"

"It's Bryce Vine!"

"Bryce Vine who?"

A blank and annoyed expression fills my face.

Bryce Vine is the best artist you have never heard of. He is a rapper, singer, and song writer that has yet to release his first real album. He has a small, but growing following. Even though he is virtually unknown, he has been featured on songs with G-Eazy and gone on tour with Hoodie Allen and KYLE.

His style is compared to Kid Cudi. The songs he has released as singles and as an extended playlist sound almost identical to old Kid Cudi, which spans the two Man on the Moon albums.

Although Bryce Vine's vocals are incredible and the beats he uses fit his voice perfectly, the best part of is songs are the lyrics. Every song is cleverly thought out with relevant themes, references, and intricate rhymes. His most popular song "Sour Patch Kids" is about how being a kid was so much more fun than being an adult and he portrays this through images of sweets and music. The chorus rings:

"I don't wanna worry bout nothing for a while, I just wanna play around livin' like a child // With old tunes jammin on my Walkman, and some Sour Patch Kids and a Coke can. // I don't wanna think about anything at all, I just wanna run around doing what I want // With a pretty ass girl and a slow jam, and some Sour Patch Kids and a Coke can."

Other songs such as "Nowhere Man" and "Private School" talk about traveling and seeing the world. The music video for "Nowhere Man" is shot at many National Parks, including Yellowstone and Rocky Mountain National Park. The images are breathtaking! Check out the music video for yourself! You will be blown away.

The video is spliced erratically to solidify the message of the song that you shouldn't be content being in one place for too long.

Bryce Vine just released a new song that will be on his upcoming album Circus. The song is titled "Drew Barrymore." It is extremely clever! The verses describe a girl that he is with while the chorus says the reason he is setting down with this girl is that she is the next Drew Barry. This song makes references to Bonnie and Clyde, Romeo and Juliet, and Drew Barrymore, of course.

Bryce Vine is a refreshing change in today's music. He does not simply rap about drugs, money, and sex. He has a great voice coupled with his songwriting; he is unique. His style is fun and energetic. He wears clothes that would have been worn in the 80's and 90's.

He is grateful for his fans and goes on instgram live to play his songs for his followers. Currently, he is going on mini tours which are called travelogues. They are about four shows long and each mini tour has a volume number. Check out more of Bryce Vine's songs, his tour dates, and let's stop having people say, "Bryce Vine who?"

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
