Be Yourself, No One Else

You are unique for a reason; Don’t let anyone stand in your way.

Be Yourself, No One Else

There is so much pressure in society to change who you are. Or what you look like. It's 2019...STOP IT! No one should change their self for anyone. You are perfect the way you are. No amount of makeup or diets will change that.

I don't have the “perfect" body. My thighs are big. My stomach isn't flat. There shouldn't be a problem with that. There's no such thing as the “perfect" body. Everybody's body is different. We should all stop pressuring people to change how they look. It's stupid. No one should have to feel insecure because they don't look like the picture perfect models that we see in magazines.

We shouldn't have to change our personalities either. I can be who I want to be. I shouldn't have to change my thoughts or beliefs just to conform to society. Everyone has their own opinions. Suck it up, people. Just because someone doesn't believe in a certain law as you do doesn't mean they're a horrible person.

Being yourself doesn't mean you're selfish. It means that you like who you are and you don't want to change. We need more uniqueness. There is no such things normal. Personally being called “normal" is an insult to me. I hate that word. I'm a goofy person. I'm weird. But I get looked at differently because I don't act “normal." Well, get over it. Because at the end of the day I'm gonna be who I wanna be. There's no changing it.

My body is not to please you. My mind is not to please you. I don't need to change myself in any way to be beautiful. No one does. We are all beautiful in every way.

Stop judging people. It's pointless. Let me be me.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
