Over the past few months, tragedies after tragedies have been occurring. One-by-one, more people are slowing fading away. This world is in dire need of help. Enough is enough.

In just a few days, America will come together to show our gratefulness for the ones who surround us. Thanksgiving is a time when families, friends, and even strangers feast on turkey, enjoy each others presence and most importantly make memories. Memories that will last a lifetime.

It breaks many hearts to know that this Thanksgiving, members of there family, friends, etc. may not be present anymore. Memories won't be able to be made with certain people. Families will be broken. And being grateful will be very hard to obtain at all.

With sadness and many cries, try to take this holiday to appreciate the ones around you. Love, care, support and most importantly, never give up on the ones that want to make a change. Join in on conversations that are touchy to discuss. Be open-minded. Have an open ear. Don't take people for granted because you'll never know when they could be gone.

Thanksgiving is a reason to make memories. Memories for change and to never forget.

It is time to come together and discuss what the next step is. Take advantage of this holiday to make a difference and keep the memory of the ones lost living forever but also fight for what you believe is right.

America is our country. We are the ones that can make that change for the better. Thanksgiving is about being grateful. Grateful to be an America, to have rights and to be heard. Let your voice be heard. Whether it is at the Thanksgiving dinner table or on public television. Never hide, always speak.

The United Nations (UN) has been in existence since June of 1945. Since then, the world has come together to work on and solve some of the harshest problems that face the Human Race. Be it children in societal ills like Human Trafficking, natural issues like Deforestation, or issues of extreme poverty, the UN has worked together in an attempt to make it a better place for us all. It's the only organization in the history of the world to bring people together in a willing, peaceful way; a feat that not even the League of Nations could do in the Post- WWI era. Why was it that one organization failed, and the other one is still going strong, 72 years later?

Coffee! Coffee! Coffee!

When I was in high school, I was the occasional coffee drinker, if you could call it that. I would drink Starbucks frappuccinos and iced mocha drinks, which were more like snacks than coffee, BUT they had coffee in them, so I said I drank coffee. I progressed from my love of “snack drinks" to a more general appreciation of coffee, and would have a cup of coffee once a week or so. My “cup of coffee" would consist of a little coffee and a lot of cream and sugar, but it was coffee nonetheless. Then I started college.
