I've been making this appetizer every Thanksgiving for over a decade, and it's such an easy showstopper.
Ingredients:
-round brie cheese
-puff pastry
-honey
-fig jam
-walnuts
-1 egg
-fresh rosemary
-dried cherries soaked in water
Step 1:
Chop walnuts and put them in the oven at 350 until they're toasted. Leave the oven on.
Step 2:
Place brie in the middle of the puff pastry square.
Step 3:
Spread fig jam on top of the brie.
Step 4:
Put cherries on top of the brie.
Step 5:
Put walnuts on top of the brie.
Step 6:
Squeeze honey on the top of the brie, spreading as evenly as possible.
Step 7:
Sprinkle rosemary on top.
Step 8:
Place the other puff pastry square on top of the brie. Press the squares together and cut odd excess puff pastry.
Step 9:
Whisk the egg in a small bowl to make an egg baste. Paint this on the puff pastry.
Step 10:
Place in the already hot oven for 25-30 minutes. Allow to cool for another 20 minutes.
