With the Academy Awards right around the corner, many movie fans from across the country are either excited or furious with the nominees. Did Will Smith get robbed by not being nominated, or will this be the perfect year for Leo DiCaprio to finally take home the gold, all these questions and more will... not be answered by the other award show of the season "The Golden Raspberries" or the "Razzies".
Many movie fans surprisingly do not know about The Razzies which is the far more light hearted approach to The Oscars, except where The Oscars celebrate the best achievements in film, The Razzies celebrate the worst. In times of tension it's always relieving to laugh off some stress at some truly bad movies. So in this month of stressful returns to work and school and horrifying resolutions, count yourself lucky if you were among those fortunate few who did not actually spend money on any of the films in the list below.

RAZZIE REDEEMER AWARD
Elizabeth Banks (Razzie “Winner” for "MOVIE 47," Multiple Hit Movies This Year)
M. Night Shyamalan (Perennial Razzie nominee & “winner,” director of "The Visit")
Will Smith (For following up "After Earth" with "Concussion")
Sylvester Stallone (All-Time Razzie Champ, award contender for "Creed")
Here is the most interesting award, given to the actor or director who has worked especially hard to redeem themselves in their work from the last year. You'll note that Mr. Stallone is also listed as the all time champ of Razzie awards. Which is interesting, considering that he was named "Worst Actor of the 20th Century" about a decade ago. Mr. Stallone was fantastic in "Creed" so hopefully the voters will finally let the man redeem himself.
So looking at this list what are your picks? Were you unfortunate enough to see any of these stinkers? Be sure to keep an eye out for The Razzies to have a more humorous approach to awards season and remember that even Hollywood isn't immune to mistakes, lots and lots of terrible mistakes.
