5 Tips To Stay Sane During Midterms

How to stay functioning during a high-stress time.

We are officially in Week 7 of the semester, which means that students are in the prime of their midterms season. Tests are piled up on top of each other, accompanied by several papers and projects to top off some of the most stressful weeks of the year.

Staying sane and functioning during this time can seem nearly impossible, and an unattainable goal, but for your mental health, it is important to follow a couple tips to keep you somewhat OK.

1. Stay fed

Being a hungry stressed person is 100x worse than just being a stressed person.

2. Get sleep

Even if you feel like you need to stay up all night in order to finish everything you need to do, you don't Getting a good night's sleep will also contribute to you doing better on your work.

3. Manage your time

If you know that you have a lot of work to do, make a schedule of what you have to do at all times, and try not to procrastinate.

4. Go to class

Skipping class to do work is not worth it. Keep going to your other classes even if it feels like you should be doing something else instead.

5. Try to avoid distractions

Don't be tempted by friends that don't have a lot of work to blow off your duties. Make sure you walk into a test feeling like you did everything you possibly could to do well.
