She may have been born into England's aristocracy, but no one gets modern college students quite like Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham.

1. That one college friend

We all have that one college friend who we are super protective of and will keep safe at all costs.

2. Work, Work, Work

Homework can pile up over the course of a single week; add a few shifts at work and a project you forgot to start and your weekend is pretty much nonexistent.

3. Shade doesn't just come from a tree

There can be a lot of passive aggression and shade thrown around between people who just can't get along.

4. Those rich kids

Then there are the rich kids who love to casually weave in stories about their yacht on the lake or their beach house in Hawaii into every conversation.

5. Friends who go too hard

We sometimes have to put the breaks on for our friends who have had one too many shots.

6. Perils of college dating

Finding love can be hard on a campus which is why apps like Tinder and Bumble exist, but really they are just a pain to use.

7. Procrastination nation

When you have a big test in the morning but didn't start studying until midnight, emailing the professor and telling them that you’re too sick to come to class is the right way to go.

8. I'm nice but not really

We may not always be the sweetest angels, especially when stress is running high, but we sure love to believe we are.

9. We all need a little encouragement

Encouragement is the only way to get through tough times and we have to tell ourselves that defeat is not an option.

10. I look like trash and I'm okay

Getting up in the morning can be a real struggle, especially for an eight o'clock class, and we don't always feel like getting dressed up.

11. Freshman 15?

Dining hall food may be far from fine dining but it's hard to resist having another plate of fries.

12. The hard truth

Finals week.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
