There are pharmacies, department stores, corner stores, and of course grocery stores, but there is nothing like Wegmans. Wegmans is one of a kind, A1, and the best of the best.

What is Wegmans you may ask? If you don’t live in the states of New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Massachusetts, or even Virginia than you may have no idea what I’m talking about. Or you may think it’s just another grocery store. You could not be more wrong.

If you look up Wegmans on Urban Dictionary, you will find the definition "A grocery store with roots in the Rochester area and founded by Danny Wegman. Eventually grew and expanded to become the best damn grocery store that exists, beating out Tops and other major competitors. Listed under Top Places to work in the US by Fortune Magazine. Almost every teenager in the Western NY area has worked at Wegmans at some point in their life and every time you shop there it's like a high school reunion."

If you are lucky enough to be a resident or have traveled to one of those places there is no doubt you know and love Wegmans. Is it even possible to hate it?

Growing up in central New York, Wegmans is a staple of my hometown and city. There are 8 Wegmans stores within just 20 miles of my house! There have even been a few occasions when my friends and I have been wicked bored and we’ll just go to Weggies for the hell of it. It’s like a field trip.

I grew up grocery shopping with my dad every Sunday and looking forward to putting random food in the cart and hoping he wouldn’t notice. I grew up looking forward to getting free cheese from the deli at Wegmans.

I also think I got every single one of my birthday cakes from Wegmans for the first 13 years of my life (the Kim Possible one was my favorite.) I loved looking through the pamphlets and deciding which cake was the coolest and which one I needed to have that year.

One of the best parts about Wegmans as a child, and admittedly as a young adult now is the candy section. Can you honestly say you never stolen at least one piece of candy before? (Sorry not sorry.)

Thank you for being there in my childhood and for being there as I am now forced to shop by myself. I’m glad I could navigate your store with my eyes closed in my sleep. Thank you for having really good smelling soap in your bathroom, and for having a Redbox too. Thank you for being the best place for one-stop shopping. Your hot foods are heavenly and specifically my favorite. Basically, all your food is fantastic, and that is coming from the world’s pickiest eater. Your versatility is quite impressive.

Wegmans holds a very special place in my heart and the heart of many people I know. Wegmans' cookies hold an even bigger place in my heart, and stomach as well.

Oh and if you’ve never had a Wegmans' cookie before, I actually feel sorry for you.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
