Dear Girls With The Curly Hair,

Ever begin your day by waking up and looking at yourself in the mirror with your curls all over the place? It can be a struggle at times when that happens and when your hair is in all knots, you know you are going to be in a shower for a long time. Your trusty friend the conditioner is going to be your best friend to detangle all of your hair.

Once you have detangled your hair and got out of the shower it's now time to put in your hair products. Hair products are a struggle, especially for curly hair. It is honestly a trial and error process. You go on Youtube and look for reviews on certain products and then when you try it, it doesn't satisfy the expectations that you wanted. It didn't give you that glow or volume you were looking for as you walk down the street in your curls.

In times like this, you become disappointed and don't what to do. You want to have your hair shinning and stunting like people you see on social media, but simply don't know what to do.

You begin to straighten your hair and realize that this is a new fit for you that works and it's much easier to do. However throughout time, you begin to realize that having this straight hair is not you, it's not part of your natural identity. You also realize that you have heat damage to your hair and have to chop off a couple of inches. You are beyond shocked the amount of damage you have done to yourself both physically and emotionally by not being proud of your curls.

So what do you do, you can go back to the whiteboard and look up again hair products that best suit your hair. There are a variety of curly hair types and everyone's hair is different. Not all products may not work to the best of our benefits.

However, if you keep trying someday with proper people you know and some luck you find the best products that will suit your hair! It is a journey to find what you need but along this curly hair journey, you began to realize that just like your body, you tend to take care of your hair too. At the end of the day, just like there are harmful chemicals that can possibly damage our body, there are also chemicals that can harm our hair as well.

So it is important to take the necessary time to research what ingredients you are putting in your hair and what you can do to prevent any damage. Having curly hair may seem like a struggle, but trust me it is a blessing! There are many people who would die to have your curls and there are even people across the world who curl their hair on flat irons to have your curls.

Meanwhile all you got to do is wake up, hop in the shower and apply some products then your good! To all of my curly hair girls, whip your hair back and forth proud as you can! Walk down the streets with confidence in yourself and know that you worth it baby! You are a proud curly hair girl who do not wishes their hair to be straight!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
