Many of us have experienced a broken heart, and there are countless songs, albums and artists who have the right words, melodies and notes that somehow heal us. But what about after that initial pain goes away; that in between phase of still hurting, but being ready to move on? Are there songs for those of us in the repair phase of a broken heart?

That's what this list of songs is: a playlist for those recovering and whose hearts just need that last little bit of mending.

1. I Miss You - blink-182

This is your classic, punk-rock song full of angst and strange lyrics, but it has the ability to reach down into your very soul and do some mending, even if you can't explain it.

2. All I Want - Kodaline

The lyrics in this song do the most repair in my opinion; you can definitely relate to them and feel yourself healing as the intensity of the song increases.

3. Everglow - Coldplay

Chris Martin knew what it was like to be in the recovery phrase of a broken heart, and he wrote a song about it so that we can heal too.

4. Gives You Hell - The All-American Rejects

This song is not only catchy, but it is the perfect fun-spirited jam to temporarily lift your sprits while your heart recovers.

5. Sirens - Pearl Jam

"Sirens" is the type of song to make you sit down and philosophize about the meaning of life, which is sometimes exactly what you need to do.

6. Mr. Brightside - The Killers

From the iconic opening notes of this song, you just know that you have to blast it and sing at the top of your lungs; which sometimes is a cure in itself.

7. Sounds of Silence - Simon & Garfunkel

This classic oldie song has the perfect combination of lyrics and soft guitar strings that is sure to cure any broken heart.

8. Thnks fr th Mmrs - Fall Out Boy

Whether or not you like Fall Out Boy, everyone knows and loves this song and the teen angst that oddly makes you feel better.

9. Timshel - Mumford & Sons

"Timshel" has the standard Mumford & Sons chorus, folk sound, with sad and deep lyrics that help you because you know someone else understands.

10. My Sweet Summer - The Dirty Heads

This a fun, summer jam that you subconsciously learn the clever rap lyrics to and feel the need to blast and roll down the windows when you hear it.

11. O (Fly On) - Coldplay

"O" is the saddest song on this playlist, but Coldplay's usual sound is a necessary component on the step to recovery for a broken heart.

12. Undisclosed Desires - Muse

"Undisclosed Desires" has a kind of empowering feel to it that after listening to it and having a good cry, you are sure to heal a little bit more.

13. Your Bones - Of Monsters and Men

The melodious and almost hymn-like feel of this song makes it a valuable addition to this playlist for repairing a broken heart.

14. Six Degrees of Separation - The Script

This song is a useful addition to this playlist because it allows you to reflect on what happened and how you're truly feeling because it breaks down the "Six Degrees of Separation."

15. Reverse - SomeKindaWonderful

This song is the perfect end to this playlist, because it encompasses every step of the recovery to a broken heart, with a catchy chorus and angry intro that will definitely help to heal your heart.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
