All Time Low is a band from Baltimore, MD that formed in high school, solely because Jack's mom made pizza bagels the first time him and Alex hung out. They are a pop/punk/rock band, and they have had my heart since I was about 11 years old. I love everything about All Time Low, from their music to their full frontal podcasts; they have always been there for me when I needed a laugh, a reassuring message, or just something to dance to. Here is a list of my favorite All Time Low song to listen to when I'm in a specific mood and why.

1. Happy- “Good Times

This song is from their newest album, "Last Young Renegade" . This song isn't necessarily about being happy, but when I'm happy I like to think about past experiences that made me feel good. This song is about moving on to a new stage in your life, but promising that goodbye isn't always sad, and you'll always have your memories. I've recently gone through a lot of changes in my life, so this song is fun to listen to when I'm thinking about how happy I am in my personal growth and for where I'm headed in life.

2. Sad- “Missing You”

This song is a darker one. It's about why you shouldn't let your depression and anxiety take you away from this world and those who love you. I personally have never been suicidal, but I have had many friends who have dealt with crippling depression and mental health disorders and it's really scary. This song is about not losing your fight and reminding you that you always have a friend in me no matter what; and that there's so much more in your future than you can see right now. I've always tried to be that person for everyone in my life, friend, foe, acquaintance, etc. I am always someone with an open ear, shoulder to cry on, person to scream with, anything.

3. Festive- “Merry Christmas, Kiss My A**”

This song is their only Christmas song, and it's about that one son of a - that just absolutely ruined you, you gave them everything they could ever want, and they still threw you in the dirt and walked over you. It has a great beat, and almost everyone can relate to a similar situation.

4. Heartbroken- “Old Scars/ Future Hearts”

This song is about not letting anyone dull your shine. It's about not getting left behind because of anyone else. This song reminds me that I can't let anyone else live my life for me, so even if someone else breaks my heart I am still in control of my life and what happens going forward. I think the main reason this song affects me so much is that I've been in relationships where I let my s/o control absolutely everything I did and I didn't even bat an eye. Remember that you are always in control, and if you have to change for someone or someone feels like they have to change you for the relationship to work, it isn't meant to work.

5. In Love- “Walls”

This song is about letting your walls break down and just giving everything you can to someone you completely trust and want to fall deeper in love with. It expresses how you want to move forward and grow with your person, instead of growing apart and letting a wall come between you and the love of your life.

6. Scared- “Nightmares”

This song is about a ghost in your life that you feel like you're constantly trying to hide from. Meaning there's something that's happened in your past that you just can't escape from. This song just reminds me that I'm not alone in this world, everyone has their demons and it's completely normal for past trauma to still haunt you, it's nothing to be ashamed of. "I gotta say its hard to be brave when you're alone in the dark" is a reminder that you don't need to always be a rock with thick skin nothing can get under.

7. Anxious- “Too Much”

This song has always resonated with me because it's so true, too much of anything is too much. This is a common feeling you get when dealing with anxiety, and listening to Alex's message here reminds you that it's okay and completely normal to feel like everything is too much and collapsing around you.

8. Excited- “I Feel Like Dancin'”

This song is up-beat and absolutely silly. It has no real "message" like most of their songs, but it is just so fun to dance to (and the video is hilarious). This song is a great way to burn some energy and loosen up.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
