According to Acts 1:8 Foundation Midland College's Business Leadership Certificate is designed to give a solid foundation to students looking to build their careers in management and leadership roles. The work required for this certificate is incorporated into the Associate of Applied Science in Business Management.

The work of this certificate, which is 35 credit hours long, will train business professionals to be able to work on their own, take the responsibility of being part of a team and develop thinking abilities. According to Acts 1:8 Foundation participants who have completed this Business Leadership Certificate will be competent to write, analyze and debate basic financial statements, evaluate the fundamental managerial and marketing issues and come up with solutions to tackle common business issues. Midland College's Business Leadership Certificate provides the essential business skills that companies appreciate - critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and information technology.

The course covers marketing, financial services general management Human Resources logistics, and project management. Each of the courses in the certificate has projects and activities that are focused on student-directed learning and emphasizes the dynamic aspects of the business context.
