90 Things to do in Disney World to Celebrate Mickey's 90th Birthday!

1928 was not a great year for Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks...at first.

In a tale told like folklore, Walt Disney and his team of animators had spent the past year animating cartoons for Universal Studios featuring a lovable character of their creation: Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. But by the spring of 1928, Disney faced contract disputes with the studio, which forced him (and Ub Iwerks, his right-hand animator) to let go of their beloved character, swearing to never again animate a character that they didn't own. Through creativity driven by heartbreak, Mickey was born, and through of a number of failures faced by Disney and Iwerks that year, success finally came their way. On November 18, 1928, after they had failed in the summer of 1928 to gain a distributor for two animated shorts, Mickey Mouse FINALLY made his film debut in "Steamboat Willie", making him an overnight success.

That was almost NINETY years ago, and today we officially celebrate Mickey's birthday on the day of his big film debut—but it's also super important to recognize November 18 as Minnie's birthday too! She was with him from the very start, and totes deserve to share the birthday spotlight!

So if you're looking to celebrate the two most famous mice on earth at Walt Disney World, the company has announced how they plan to celebrate Mickey and Minnie's 90th birthday weekend! Not only will I be there that weekend, but I've also got you covered with a list of 90 "mouse-inspired" things for 90 years, from attractions to meet-and-greets to FOOD!

Many of the things on this list are great for guests of all ages, but some are better suited for the little Mouseketeers visiting Walt Disney World. Some of these things are free or included with park admission, while others may cost you a pretty penny. But every item on this list guarantees fun, I promise!

Here are 90 ways you can party like a Mouseketeer at Disney World on November 18:

1. Attractions!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

129199

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
