Ever hear a song that takes you back to a special moment in your life? Perhaps the song was playing when you met someone. Maybe it just reminds of a great childhood memory. Then that song leads to another song and before you know it you’ve created a new playlist on your online radio or other player.
This week, I had such an experience. I was driving to work and listening to the radio when I hear Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves.It took me back to a euphoric state of living on cloud nine. This lead me to creating a new playlist from the songs that were playing in my head.

1. All Because of You by Blackmore's Night
This song takes me to just a short time ago, but seems so long ago. I felt that when I looked into the eyes one guy and a short time spent talking that I could stay there forever. In away, I’ve managed to stay in that moment forever. Though the time has long passed and we still talk on occasion, it’s all because of one person that it feels like all of my dreams have come true.
2. Beyond My Wildest Dreams from the Broadway production of the Little Mermaid
Yes Disney answers many of my questions. This is how I felt the entire time I was in Detroit. I had my voice, but it took me a minute to find it. And I felt the eyes on me as I spoke to you in the club. I really felt like Ariel in a place a little out of my limit but the ‘prince’ was there. It was ‘Beyond My Wildest Dreams” and I hoped a little beyond his.
3. Call It Love by Blackmore’s Night
Of all the things we could call our meeting, I’d like to call it love. This may be one sided, but you know when you have connection with someone. And I’m sure down the road we will meet again.
4. Falling by Emmy Rossum
Tangled up in his web in this reverie, I find myself falling and tumbling heels over head when I remember that night. All of this started with the radio station playing one song several times a week.
5. Half a Moment
I got what feels like half a moment with you that night. You have left me with just that moment which I capture anew until I get another. I shall treasure that moment until I get another moment to make one whole moment spent with you.
6. My Guy by Mary Wells
It may be hard to imagine after one meeting, but when I saw you I could see my ideal guy in you. In that moment I felt that the one I’ve been waiting for had been found in you and no one could have torn me away from you.
7. Street of Dreams by Blackmore’s Night
I found you that night from a place that I felt I had walked before in my dreams. Perhaps you felt it too when we locked eyes across the room. May we meet again on the street of dreams and at that time will you remember me.

This song started it all. Feelings of cloud nine were reawakened with this song of waiting until you come back around and until then I’m walking on sunshine knowing that you love me.
