RuPaul's Drag Race is one of the most unique competitions of our time. Drag Queens race to win prizes like lifetime supplies of makeup, being a representative of Logo's Drag Race Tour featuring Absolut Vodka, and $100,000. Many queens achieve even more greatness through the publicity they get by being on the show. Besides all the competition, body pads, and sassy men, RuPaul's Drag Race has a lot of life lessons to be learned from it. Through many long hours of research (binge watching) these are some of the most important things I have learned from RuPaul.

1. Be Confident

Girl, strut! Be proud of who you are. Own your body and your personality. You should never have to be afraid to show the world the real you.

2.Take Critique With Grace

When you're given constructive criticism, take it and work with it. Many queens have shown us what not do, but even more put on their glam face and use critiques to make them better.

3. Work With What You Got

Many challenges thrown at the queens give them little time and supplies. They have to use their creativity and skill and make the best of any situation. No matter your circumstances, use what you do have to your advantage.

4. Save Your Attitude For The Runway

Nobody wants shade thrown their way. Save that attitude for your walk, not for your girls.

5.Try Your Hardest, Even At The Things You Aren't Good At

Not every queen has every talent. They can choose to rise to the challenge or sashay away. In life, you will be in situations that aren't ideal. You will have to try new things, and you may not be the best at them. That just means you have to try even harder. If doesn't go well, you just keep moving.

6. Accept Everyone

While you watch many different types of queens, you also hear many different stories. Many of these women are judged and have to fight to be who there are. Accept everyone; don't make more people fight.

7. Let Your Freak Flag Fly

Whether you are quirky, creepy, or just plain odd you are still fabulous.

8. " If you can't love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love somebody else?"

Wise words from Mama Ru; this needs no explanation.

RuPaul has taught me many important lessons, and I will always tune in for more extravaganzas with these queens. If you've never watched the show.... Girl where have you been?

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
