When it comes to chemistry there are some geniuses out there, but for the majority of us, it's a daily struggle.
You try to act like you know what's going on, but you clearly don't.
Never have, never will.
You spend hours trying to do the same few problems.
then finally just give up.
When other people say how easy it is for them, you take it personally.
You won't even consider their point of view.
You cry every time you even think about taking your chem stuff out to study.
then make yourself do it anyway.
It takes a lot of energy (and caffeine) to actually make it to that class.
Or you can't bring yourself to go at all.
You bond with people over your shared hatred for chemistry.
You all have a special place in each others' hearts.
You get overly-excited for one little good grade.
Because you don't know when that'll happen again.
You consider changing your major just to avoid another chemistry course.
It's that bad.
You're not surprised about bad exam grades.
Doesn't even phase you.
You claim that you're going to drop out all together.
You've just had enough.
Despite your daily struggles, you make yourself do it anyway.
You know that you can only do the career you want if you suffer through this and you hope it's worth it in the end.
