Working at a movie theater has its ups and downs. Some of which may seem like common knowledge, others, not so much. When I worked at a movie theater, people would always ask me about the discounts and if I got to see free movies.
Occasionally, people would ask me what was the craziest thing I had seen while working there, but nobody really wants to talk about how messy they are when they go to the movies.
Read below to see some of the things we go through as a movie theater employee:
1. The popcorn is EVERYWHERE
This is how we picture you eat popcorn. It has to be; there's no other explanation!
2. We ALWAYS smell like butter and popcorn
And trust me, it doesn't smell good when it's clinging to your clothes and hair every day.
3. With any customer service, the rude customers
Like come on man, there's no need to get mad because we buttered your popcorn "wrong". It isn't serious enough to yell at us over!
4. School groups
As awesome as they are for business, we absolutely dread them. SO much popcorn! To be made, to be put into bags, and once again, to be all over the floor.
5. We make for a cheap date
And who doesn't like to go see a movie for cheap? This means we can have a fancier dinner!
6. Dark movie theaters
Nobody likes dark theaters. Imagine cleaning a dark movie theater at the end of the night, no one in the theater except employees, and cleaning up after It. Talk about scary.
7. Loud customers
Like, you're all here for one purpose. To watch the movie. No need to talk during the movie, it takes away from the watching part.
8. And of course, the make-out couple
Like we get it, you love each other, but just enjoy the movie. It makes it really awkward when we have to come interrupt you.
