For anyone who has visited a Disney park, there is always that period after your vacation where all you think about is going back. You remember all of your favorite parts of the trip, the food you are craving to eat again, the music, etc. The real world just is not satisfying to you anymore. Your life is now consumed with memories of the most happiest place on earth. Everything that happens around you reminds you of it. I have experienced this many times before and now have compiled a list for everyone to see just what happens when you go through Disney withdrawal.
1. You replay the entire vacation in your head continuously.
We started off walking down Main Street and taking in all of the sights, sounds and smells. We then made a beeline for Seven Dwarves Mine Train because it only had a 30 minute wait. So short! Great ride. Loved the song. Then it was on to our fast pass at Space Mountain...and so on and so on.
2. You imagine when you are driving that you are actually on the monorail heading for your next park destination.
"Please stand clear of the doors...Por favor mantengase alejado de las puertas."3. Your mouth starts watering every time you think of the food you ate.
I could really use a Mickey Pretzel right now. It is so hot the only thing that can cool me down is a Dole Whip. I wish Kraft could box up that Pot Roast Mac 'n' Cheese from Friar's Nook and send it to me. If only there was an Earl of Sandwich in Cary, NC.4. Disney music is the only thing that plays on your iPod and in your car at the moment.
I do not care that it is almost Christmas, we are listening to the Wishes soundtrack again and then starting my six hour Disney playlist.5. All of those pictures you took on vacation are now your screen saver slideshow on your computer.
And they make you cry every time you look at them.
6. Those pictures are also being shown to all of your friends while you tell them about the funny things that happened while on vacation.
The group of friends I was with decided to all buy themselves a giant pickle in Magic Kingdom. Did you know you could buy individual pickles in Magic Kingdom? Because I did not. They are only $1.75! Although I hate pickles so I did not get one.7. Anything that could be connected to Disney makes you think about it and start talking about it.
"Rent" is a great musical. It was one of the words that popped up when we played the game Heads Up while waiting in line to meet Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. Yeah, you can meet them at Magic, but to meet Flynn it has to be a Christmas party. The Christmas party was so fun... Like I said, anything.8. You start planning out your next trip down even though it is highly unlikely.
If I only eat bread and cheese for the next year I can totally afford to go to Magic Kingdom for a day, or the other parks for two days. But that drive...It is worth it, why am I doubting it?All right, so who wants to go on another Disney World vacation with me to cure my Disney withdrawal?
