8 Reasons Dogs with Smushed In Faces Are The Cutest

All dogs are cute, but one could argue that these take the crown for the cuteness award.

Dogs are not only man's best friend, but they are also just about the cutest animals out there (with sloths and manatees trailing behind in my opinion). They are even so cute that Animal Planet literally made a show called “Too Cute” that was just about puppies and kittens growing up.

While all dogs possess a certain level of cuteness, there are still arguably some that are cuter than others.

It is in my professional opinion, as a dog lover, dogs with smushed in faces — scientifically known as brachycephalic — are the cutest.

Don’t believe me? Here are 8 reasons why dogs with a smushed face are the cutest.

1.They look incredibly cute when they tilt their little mushed faced to the side!

That look they give you when they are confused or intrigued by something is just amplified in cuteness by their squishy faces. This breed of smushed faced pups, called the Boxer, is known for being a ‘clown’ and a good family dog. Their fun nature and cute face would make them a great addition to any family!

2. The wrinkles!!

Okay, how could you not fall in love with this smushed faced cutie's wrinkles? Just look at those big ol’ lines and that undershot jaw! This breed of brachycephalic dog, called the Bulldog, are known for being lazy but loyal companions.

3. When they stick their tongues out.

There is nothing cuter than when they stick their little pink tongues out of their smashed in faces. Pugs, such as this little guy are known for being super friendly and playful.

4. Their big bug eyes!

This squished in face helps emphasize big puppy dog eyes and who doesn’t find that to be adorable? Boston terriers, such as the one above, are known for being hyper little balls of fun — which is not always true because mine is extremely lazy.

5. They have a heart-melting smile.

I mean just look at this little pups smile! Wouldn’t that brighten your day just walking in the door and seeing that to greet you? French bulldogs, like this dog, are great companion dogs and friends.

6. They all look a bit funny, but in the best way!

All of these dogs look just a little peculiar, but it separates them from the rest of the canine world in the best way. Brussles Griffons are small but mighty little guys and they come complete with an adorable beard, such as this guy above.

7. They often win best in show.

Look at this good boy, he’s all ready to win best coat and best in show! One could argue they have an unfair advantage because they are just too darn cute. Pekingese, such as this one, are known for being good in shows due to their breed confident and regal status.

8. They look huggable, even when looking at you like this.

In fact, the look this dog is giving makes me want to hug him more so. English toy spaniels, such as this little guy also have a regal look to them.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
