Don't get me wrong, working at Subway is a great job and I enjoy working there. However, here are some tips and things to avoid when making your next sandwich order at Subway.
1. Completely making your entire sandwich for the customer to finally tell you there will be four more footlongs with that...
Nothing is more heartbreaking. If you know you have a ton of sandwiches left to order, tell us right away! We'll be able to make them much faster for you.
2. When you ask what kind of bread the customer wants and they get upset that you didn't already know what they wanted.
This will never make sense to me. How was I supposed to know?
3. When you ask the customer if they want any cheese and they just reply yes... and continue to order the sandwich without telling you what kind they would like.
Just say it! This will happen often and they will continue to order the rest of their sandwich without telling you the cheese. And you're just left there like...
4. When you make multiple sandwiches and ask if they want cheese and again they just say yes... then proceed to get mad when you ask them what they would like on each. (As if you should already know).
5. The customer that's on the phone and is upset you're interrupting their conversation to make their sandwich.
There are some people that can do both and are not rude about it. However, in some cases it makes me want to do this...
6. The chopped salads.
Only Subway workers understand...
7. When a customer asks for an Italian sub and you're unsure if they are referring to the bread or the sandwich.
Okay, so Italian bread or and Italian BMT..?
8. When you make an entire sandwich that they watched you make and then they tell you that you made the wrong sandwich.
All you can do is just smile.
