I've always been partial to car rides. I love riding with the windows down and the music blaring and sightseeing along the way. Needless to say, my love for car rides means I haven't spent much time in planes. After flying for the first time, I had some thoughts and feelings that are likely common for anyone trying to navigate their first flight.

1. Do I have everything with me?

2. I hope my luggage doesn't weigh too much.

3. How much will it cost if it's overweight? *checks online* That is TOO much money.

4. I wonder how many layers of clothes I can wear before people will start judging me.

5. Okay, check in went well, now onto security.

6. What if they find something in my bag?

7. There's nothing in my bag.

8. But what if there is?

9. There shouldn't be anything.

10. Act cool, act cool act cool.

11. Why do I have to take off my shoes for security?

12. This is gross. I hate walking around in my socks.

13. Do my feet smell?

14. Can everyone else smell my feet?

15. Okay, metal detector time.

16. Don't beep. Don't beep. Don't beep.

17. Phew, that was easy.

18. Where's my stuff?

19. Found it.

20. Shoes back on.

21. Oh, my god, there are people behind me I'm holding up a line.

22. Don't fall trying to put your shoes on it's okay.

23. Okay, that was more stressful than it needed to be.

24. Now, where's my gate?

25. Gate?

26. Wait, shopping!

27. Of course, I need to buy a magazine before my flight, what else will I read on the plane?

28. And I need gummy worms. Just in case.

29. Five dollars for water? I'd rather dehydrate.

30. Just kidding I'm going to buy it anyways.

31. Wait, is that my flight boarding?

32. Yes, it is.

33. Where's my gate?

34. Okay, do I have everything?

35. Ticket? Passport? Wallet?

36. I found my gate!

37. Now I just need to board.

38. Why do we board so soon?

39. Is that really how small my seat is?

40. There is no space in this overhead compartment.

41. Who am I sitting next to?

42. Okay, they seem normal.

43. Hopefully.

44. This seat is not comfortable.

45. *Baby cries* Oh, no.

46. Okay, ready for take off.

47. How often do those oxygen things actually come down though?

48. But what if this plane crashes?

49. Planes taking off feel like rollercoasters.

50. Okay, but why is this plane so loud?

51. Maybe if I play some music I can get some sleep.

52. How does this seat go back?

53. Oh god I have no idea.

54. Maybe I can sleep sitting upright.

55. *Tries sleeping* Or maybe not.

56. I've never realized how important legroom is until I now.

57. These seats are not comfortable.

58. Okay, just try sleeping again.

59. *Baby cries* Maybe not.

60. How much longer until we land?

61. Oh, wait, we're landing so soon?

62. Time to refasten my seat belt!

63. Darn, now I have to pee.

64. It's fine I can wait.

65. This decent is really making my ears pop.

66. Ouch, you call that a landing?

67. Taking off is better than landing.

68. Okay, now I can stand. Where's my luggage?

69. Why can no one make their way toward the exit? Let's move people!

70. Okay, leaving the plane now.

71. That wasn't too bad.

72. I'd still rather not do it again.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
