Characters from Bob’s Burgers, Rick and Morty, Family Guy, etc. get a lot of recognition from their fans on Halloween. But, where’s the love for the throwback characters? I’m talking about Jimmy Neutron, Totally Spies and other cartoons a lot of us miss. If you love old cartoons and don’t have any costume ideas yet, this is the list for you.

1. Kids from Codename: Kids next door

Channel your inner ten year old by becoming a young agent who hates adults. If your one of those people with a huge group of friends, this is a good group costume. #squadgoals.

2. Jimmy Neutron & friends

The hair and the huge head might be a challenge, but it should be fun to pretend to be a genius for a day. If brain blasts aren’t your thing, there is always Carl and Sheen. For those couples out there, Cindy and Jimmy or even Sheen and Libby if you ship them would be a good fit. I wouldn’t recommend shipping Carl and Judy Neutron though.

3. Samurai Jack

Growing up, Samurai Jack was one of the coolest characters for me. He was a quiet badass who persevered through a lot of horrible situations. For those who don’t like socializing, you can use this character as an excuse to not speak for a whole day.

4. Kim Possible

“Call me, beep me if you wanna reach me.” She came with a catchy theme song and she was a good role model. The villains of this show were really cool too, so if you want to be evil for Halloween Shego is always an option.

5. Characters from Hey Arnold

Although this was a kid show, it had a lot of deep messages that you don’t pick up on until you’re an adult. Messages may be potential child hood ruiners for some, but knowledge is power, right? As far as costumes go, Arnold and Helga would be the most popular choice, but don’t forget about Gerald or the stoop kid.

6. Ed, Edd, and Eddy

What a beautiful coincidence that three boys with similar names live in the same cul de sac. If you can find three of your friends willing to play them, it means you have the greatest friends in the world. The only thing left to decide would be who plays the dumb one, the smart one, and lastly the leader.

7. Kids from Recess

This crew is not only tough, but they symbolize the struggles of growing up and finding your place in the world. These characters deserve a DIY video and some merchandise.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
