7 Things You Need To Bring To Make Your Last-Minute Beach Trip Perfect

Alright, you only have a month left of summer so start planning those last-minute beach trips or long pool days with your besties. But, what do you even bring for those last-minute trips? I have compiled a list for you to make your beach trip packing, a little bit easier.

1. Facial Sunscreen

Although many people do, you should not use the same sunscreen on your face that you use on your body. It can easily cause your skin to break out and clog your pores. I recommend using the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch because it is lightweight and it has never caused a breakout for me.

I use this, almost if not every day in the summer when I know I will be outside.

2. Sunscreen

Sun Bum Sunscreen Lotion SPF 15 | Ulta Beauty

The obvious, I know. But you need to protect your skin. I love the SunBum sunscreen because it is lightweight and has a nice coconut smell to it.

3. Reusable Water Bottle

Hydro Flask Wide Mouth 32oz Water Bottle

Shop now

You are going to need to stay hydrated when you are out in the sun for the day. I love to pack my Hydroflask full of ice and water before I leave the house and drink it throughout the day when I am on the beach. You do not have to buy the Hydroflask but buy something similar that will keep your drink nice and cold for the day.

4. Bluetooth Speaker

Shop now

Bluetooth speakers are perfect for when you're laying out at the pool with friends trying to relax. Music is a great way to escape and unwind during the summer. As a plus, if you get a waterproof speaker, you don't have to worry about it getting ruined during your fun summer festivities!

5. Baseball Hat

Shop now

The last thing you want to be doing is squinting your eyes when you are out laying on the beach, grab your favorite cap and throw it in your bag!

6. Snacks

Shop now

When you go to the beach, you most likely will be out there for a few hours, so you will need something to help you refuel. I love to bring popcorn or Cheese-Its for a quick snack.

7. Tanning Enhancer

Shop now

This is something you do not need to buy, I just like to help my tan stay a little longer. After a long day at the beach, I like to shower and then use this in order for my tan to stay a little longer.

Do not forget to bring laughs and lots of fun. Enjoy those last weeks of summer!

No Sex And Upstate New York

A modern-day reincarnation of Carrie Bradshaw's classic column

Around the age of 12, when I was deciding whether or not to be gay, Satan appeared on my left shoulder. “Ramsssey,” he said with that telltale lisp. “Come over to our side. We have crazy partiessss.” He made a strong case, bouncing up and down on my shoulder with six-pack abs and form-fitting Calvin Kleins. An angel popped up on the other shoulder and was going to warn me about something, but Satan interrupted- “Shut up, you crusty-ass bitch!’ The angel was pretty crusty. She disappeared, and from that moment forward I was gay.

Senior Year Is Here And I Am So Not Ready For It

I was you not that long ago. I was once an eager freshman, a searching sophomore, and a know-it-all junior. Now? Now I am a risk taker. Not the type that gets you in trouble with your parents, but the type that changes your future. Senior year is exciting. A lot of awesome things come along with being the top-dog of the school, but you, right now, are building the foundation for the next 4 years that you will spend in high school. I know you've heard it all. "Get involved", "You'll regret not going to prom", "You're going to miss this". As redundant as these seem, they're true. Although I am just at the beginning of my senior year, I am realizing how many lasts I am encountering.

Why Driving Drives Me Crazy

the highways are home

With Halloween quickly approaching, I have been talking to coworkers about what scares us. There are always the obvious things like clowns, spiders, heights, etc. But me? There are a number things I don't like: trusting strangers, being yelled at, being in life or death situations, parallel parking. All of these are included when you get behind the wheel of a car.
