You might be ready to stream the Christmas lights, and pour the egg nog, but we still have one more Holiday, that is commonly overlooked. Fortunately, television has made it quite easy to celebrate Thanksgiving. We can all remember at least one episode where our favorite characters sat down for a Thanksgiving dinner. I didn’t want to dismiss Thanksgiving so easily this year, so I picked just a few episodes to make this holiday a little more festive. So sit back, grab some pumpkin pie, and celebrate turkey day the right way.

1. New Girl Season 2 Episode 8 “Parents”

Jess pulls a parent trap when her divorced parents come to Thanksgiving dinner, while Schmidt and his brother compete to see who is more “manly.”

“A parent trap takes weeks of scheduling, I feel like you’re just throwing this together. This is a makeshift parent trap, probably won’t work.” – Nick
“Why do you have to ruin everything?” – Jess
“I don’t know! I’ve got something bad inside me, I ruin things…let’s do this parent trap.”- Nick

2. Friends Season 5 Episode 8 “The One With All The Thanksgivings”

The characters tell stories of past Thanksgivings gone wrong.

“Joey got a turkey stuck on his head?”- Rachel
“Hey! It's not how it sounds!”- Joey
“It is exactly how it sounds.”- Chandler

3. Gilmore Girls Season 3 Episode 9 “A Deep Fried Korean Thanksgiving”

Lorelai and Rory attend four Thanksgiving meals. Things get more interesting when Lorelai finds out that Rory applied to more colleges than just Harvard, and Lane has her first kiss.

“Shouldn't we give thanks first?”- Luke
“Thanks for what?”- Jess
“Well, that we're not Native Americans who got their land stolen in exchange for smallpox infested blankets.”- Luke
“Amen.”- Lorelai

4. Ugly Betty Season 1 Episode 8 “Four Thanksgivings And A Funeral”

Daniel attends family dinner at the country club, Marc and Amanda spend thanksgiving watching the parade at Mode, and Betty spends thanksgiving, at home in queens, with her family including Justin’s father, Santos.

“This was the best turkey they had?”- Betty
“No, it was the last turkey they had. You were this close to stuffing a brisket”- Hilda

5. Gossip Girl Season 1 Episode 9 “Blair Waldorf Must Pie”

A dismal thanksgiving for all, filled with flashbacks of happier holidays, fights between Serena and Blair, Mr. Archibalds suicide attempt, a resurgence of Blair’s bulimia, and an awkward Humphry/Vanderwoodsen dinner.

“As per Gossip Girl's Thanksgiving tradition, I'm trading in my laptop for stovetop. And for the next 16 hours, the only thing I'm dishing is seconds. When the cat's away, the mice will play. Have fun, little rodents.”- Gossip Girl

6. Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 4 Episode 8 “Pangs”

Buffy meets the spirit of a Native American, who wants revenge for the Chumash indians that were killed by pilgrims.

“We don't say 'Indian.'”- Buffy
“Oh, oh, right! Yes, yes. Um, always behind on the terms. Still trying not to refer to you lot as 'bloody colonials.'”- Giles

7. Will and Grace Season 2 Episode 7 "Homo For The Holidays"

Will and Grace find out that Jack never came out to his mother, and they pressure him to do it over thanksgiving dinner.

"Hmmm. Well, you've come on a good night. Jack's mother is going to be joining us, and she doesn't know Jack's gay."- Grace
"How could she not know? What is she, headless?"- Karen

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
