7 Reasons Why I Wish I Lived In The Era Of 'Full House'

We live in a generation where life moves so fast. Everything nowadays seems so much more complicated due to technology. It always heads down, scrolling and liking life’s moments without taking a moment to enjoy the simple things. It makes me wonder how different my life would look if I lived in the generation of I "Full House."

1. Scrunchies were all the rage and the multi-purpose tool of the 90s.

2. Dating was as simple as drive-in movies, wearing his letterman jacket to the games and opening the car door for her on your first date. They didn’t have to worry about things like Tinder, Woman Crush Wednesdays or decoding what phrases such as “Netflix and Chill” meant.

3. Good ol’ fashion Saturday morning’s involved sitting in front of the TV in your pajamas watching "Saved by the Bell" or "Boy Meets World", eating your Froot Loops until your parents got up.

4. Denim on denim was so totally in. You didn’t have to choose between wearing your favorite pair of jeans or your jean jacket on a Saturday night, you could wear them and blend right in.

5. Your favorite band was *NYSNC. Justin Timberlake still had his short, spiked, bleached hair and we didn’t know he could bring "Sexy Back" until 2006.

6. Spotify Premium, iTunes and Apple TV weren’t invented yet, instead you had your Sony Walkman, CDs and Blockbuster Stores. You had to physically go to the store to buy your music and movies rather than downloading them.

7. And lastly, the only form of getting in touch with your friends outside of school was either through the phone or your bike. Kids didn’t have to worry about Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or even Snapchat. Life was simple and happened face to face.

I hope these seven little things made you laugh but more importantly made you realize that life can be simple if we allow it. Take a moment and step back and realize how sweet and simple life can be.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
