Nothing is worse then being out-and-about and not having that one item that you need. You always want to be ready for whatever it going to happen, but it can be hard to always have everything you need, especially when you are switching purses. I have put together a list of all the things that I carry in a small cosmetic bag. This way I can easily transfer from one purse to another and I always have the products with me that I need.

1. Tinted Lip Moisturizer

Lipstick can be a real pain. A tinted lip moisturize not only adds moisture to your lips, but a little bit of color. You do not have to worry about it rubbing off on your teeth and you can get a subtle color that can be reapplied without a mirror.

2. Oil Blotters

Who has an oily t-zone? I do too! Oil blotters are great to help with this! Now, they make them for multiple skin concerns such as acne or anti-aging. So... hit up your local drug store and pick up whatever kind you need. This is a great product to have that will make you feel like you just washed your face.

3. Translucent Face Powder

If you are like me, then you do not carry around your entire make-up bag. But most make-up needs to be touched up every 4-6 hours. Carrying a translucent face powder with you is going to help clean up your make-up and it is only one product verses however many you have in your cosmetic bag.

4. Lotion

Nothing is worse than having dry hands and needing lotion. We have all have had this experience. Skip the dry hands and carry a small travel size lotion with you in your cosmetic bag. The great thing about this is that when you buy a full size lotion you sometimes also get a travel size!

5. Hand Sanitizer

It never hurts to have this with you. It's always nice to be able to clean your hands before you eat or shake hands with another person. It's always good to be prepared for when you stop at rest stops or gas stations.

6. Mouth Wash/Breath Strips/Breath Mints/Gum

No body likes to be self-conscious about their breath. Carry a travel size bottle of mouth wash, breath strips, gum, or breath mints with you. We also know how much people love sharing gum with everyone around them. Save yourself the trouble from bugging other people and carry your own with you. Now you do not have to worry about bad breath!

7. Pocket Mirror

It always comes in handy. Whether you are reapplying your lipstick or trying to get something that it stuck in between your teeth, a pocket mirror is always a good thing to have with you.

Everyone has different things that they always carry with them. What items do you always have on you?

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
