1. Home Alone 1 & 2
Who doesn't love a night with troublemaker Kevin and actually laughing out loud at his successful attempts to stop burglars in the most creative ways possible? Watching this will definitely bring back some memories of the aspirations we had to stop bad guys from intruding into our home. Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals.
2. The Nightmare Before Christmas
This Tim Burton classic of a Halloween character trying to steal Christmas almost breaks your heart. Jack is tired of being the bad guy and wants everyone to love him and bring happiness to the world instead of terror. Even though he may be the antagonist who tries to steal Christmas, you can't help but feel sorry for the poor guy.
3. Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas
A modern day Mr. Scrooge, the Grinch is that one bad guy we love to hate. He comes to life from the book in this film, as the Grinch tries to steal Christmas from the all-too-happy Whos of Whooville, only to have a change of heart brought on by the sweet and innocent Cindy Lou Who.
4. The Santa Clause Trilogy
It all starts when divorced dad Scott causes Santa Claus to fall off of the roof. The non-believing adult reluctantly puts on the red suit and is magically taken to the North Pole. With the help of his son, he saves Christmas and is now the new Santa Claus. This classic gives people of all ages a fuzzy feeling in their stomach and gives everyone back the magic of believing in Santa.
5. Elf
A more recent Christmas classic, but a great one nonetheless. Buddy the elf, though not actually an elf, brings that naive, true, happy-go-lucky attitude to the life of his biological father and his new family. He brings that holiday spirit we all want to have to all the people he encounters, and this movie inspires us to bring the best out in everyone we meet.
6. The Polar Express
The cherished children's book everyone loves comes to life in this Christmas classic that shows us that even the most doubtful souls can have a change of heart. It inspires us that everything is possible if you just believe.
7. Christmas With The Kranks
Abandoned by their daughter over the holidays, this Christmas-obsessed couple decide that Christmas is not the same without their little girl, so they decide to skip all their Christmas traditions. This, however, does not go over very well with their neighbors and friends. This comedy with Tim Allen makes us realize how much of a community holiday Christmas is, and how it does not sit well with others to be the Scrooge of the season.
