If you’re a makeup lover like me, you know how hard it is to maintain your obsession. Most popular makeup brands are pretty expensive, such as Anastasia Beverly Hills (I love the Modern Renaissance palette), Urban Decay, Nars, and others. While I could spend my entire life in Sephora, my wallet probably wouldn’t be too happy about that, which is why I absolutely love makeup brands that have high quality products at a low price. Here are some of the best affordable makeup brands that won’t leave your wallet empty:
1. Colourpop
This is one of the most popular makeup brands out there, and for good reason - they have some of the trendiest makeup at a low price. Their lipsticks and eyeshadows are $5-$6 each, and they are seriously pigmented and long-lasting. Bestsellers include their famous Super Shock Shadows, Ultra Matte Lipsticks, and their Lippie Stix, but all of their products are super high quality. I highly recommend trying out their products if you haven’t already. Plus, they have free domestic shipping on orders over $30!
2. e.l.f. Cosmetics
I’m sure we’ve all heard of E.L.F. This brand has some of the highest quality brushes I’ve seen at a ridiculously low price. Don’t spend $35 on one brush (*cough cough* MAC brushes) when you could get the same brush for $6 at E.L.F. They also have amazing highlights, lip exfoliators, and eyeliners, as well as other products. In fact, their $2 liquid eyeliner is one of my favorite eyeliners, and I’ve tried many eyeliners. 3. Wet n Wild
Wet n Wild is no longer the forgotten cheap makeup brand at the drugstore. Now, it is one of the top affordable makeup brands loved by newbies and makeup gurus alike. Their 3-pan and 8-pan Color Icon eyeshadows are the BEST drugstore eyeshadows out there - they are even comparable to Urban Decay eyeshadows. Yes, you read that correctly. I highly recommend them for their pigmentation, blendability, and price (only $3 to $5!!) They also have great lip products, highlighters, and brushes. I use their 99 cent eyeshadow brush more than my expensive brushes, and that’s saying something.
4. NYX Cosmetics
NYX is another affordable makeup brand that can be found online and in-store. They have a wide array of products in every color imaginable, and they are always releasing cool new products, such as their Super Cliquey Matte Lipstick. Bestsellers include their Soft Matte Lip Cream, Lip Lingerie, and face and body glitters (I have a bunch and I love them.) They also have great face and eye products at a low prices and can be found at drugstores as well.
5. Morphe
Morphe is well known for their famous 35 pan palettes that are only $23 each. While I only have their brushes, I’ve heard great things about their eyeshadows (They’re extremely pigmented and blendable!!), lipsticks, and contour palettes as well. I’m planning to get a palette soon and recommend you to get one too! If you want to swatch before buying online, head to your local Ricky’s to see if they sell Morphe.
6. L.A. Girl
The L.A. Girl Pro Conceal conceals are one of most raved about concealers of all time. I have it myself, and I can say it’s one of the best concealers you can get for $5. They also have super pigmented color correctors, highlighter, and foundation! Find them in stores or online.
7. Milani
I’m sure you’ve heard how the Milani Baked Blush is a dupe for NARS. But have you tried their best selling lip creams, eyeshadows, and highlighters? Milani is another makeup brand that is becoming well known for their cute, trendy and affordable makeup and packaging. They’re also available in drugstores and online!
