62 Thoughts I Had While Watching Stranger Things
buzzfeed.com

It took me all of three days to watch the first season of Stranger Things. Needless to say, I loved it. I wrote out my thoughts as I was watching, so they cover the span of the eight episodes. Therefore, if you haven’t seen it yet, go watch it before reading this! If you’ve already watched it, please enjoy 62 of the thousands of thoughts I had while watching season one of Stranger Things on Netflix:

  1. oh man, this crazy sci-fi stuff is about to get real
  2. wait, what era is this?
  3. look at their outfits.. and their haircuts.. definitely the 80s
  4. Will is my favorite what a cute kid
  5. why is that boy so hungry? and why was he in a hospital?
  6. that he is a she. got it.
  7. why won’t she speak more though?! SPEAK!
  8. oh okay bye Will
  9. I am so annoyed by this cop, he’s being way too skeptical of Will’s mom
  10. She just lost her child STOP doubting her!
  11. Nancy and Steve’s relationship is cliche AF.. popular guy falls for nerdy girl
  12. Oh dang the good girl shot guns a beer!
  13. Alright Nancy, listen to Barb
  14. aaaand.. there goes Barb. Bye Barb.
  15. Seriously, where are these people disappearing to?!
  16. The same thing definitely happened to her and Will
  17. OMG Will is communicating
  18. I’ll bet you that his mom will try to tell people about the lights and they’ll call her crazy
  19. okay, she does seem pretty crazy
  20. I totally believe her though!
  21. YES, the cop finally does some digging! go Chief Hopper!
  22. okay, I’m glad Will isn’t dead, but how the heck could they get away with a fake body?! does that happen in real life?! I sure hope not. Someone would have to notice.
  23. dang.. the whole town is still grieving, this is so sad.. if only they knew
  24. Eleven is honestly a badass
  25. if only I could’ve made bullies pee their pants when I was in middle school
  26. honestly, Nancy and Steve are sort of cute but I ship Nancy and Jonathan
  27. this funeral is a lie! the body in there is a lie!
  28. Will’s dad is a sleaze-ball I do not like him
  29. when Chief Hopper finally told Will’s mom she was right all along.. most powerful moment ever wow
  30. Nancy and Jonathan are hanging out this is perfect!
  31. dammit Nancy why’d you have to be so curious about the tree?!
  32. the teens in this town are dropping like flies
  33. oh shoot she made it out!
  34. I feel like we’re getting closer to the mystery being solved here. Nancy and Jonathan know about the creepy place and Chief and Will’s mom know Will is still alive!
  35. Eleven stealing those waffles from the grocery store could’ve made an awesome Eggo’s commercial
  36. Steve you are a jealous mess why did I ever think you were cute #teamjonathan
  37. the innocent person in a fight always gets arrested in TV shows why does that happen?
  38. MIKE AND ELEVEN ALMOST KISSED! they’re like 12 years old but that’s so cute.
  39. I hope Mike’s parents don’t trust Dr. Brenner and his people
  40. I can’t imagine having to use walky-talkys to communicate like they’d all save so much time and effort if they had iPhones
  41. I haven’t mentioned Dustin yet, but let me just say I probably enjoy all the internet memes of him even more than his actual role in this show
  42. I love how all the characters are squadding up to find Will and Barb already!
  43. EW when the snake came out of Barb’s mouth I felt like I was watching a preview for American Horror Story
  44. I have a feeling Will is okay. Sorry Barb, but he’s more relevant to the plot.
  45. That’s right Dr. Brenner, Will’s mom sees right through your crap!
  46. okay, I’m still not even sure what agency this is, but I hate them and their evil motives
  47. Dustin is worrying about chocolate pudding while everyone is freaking out about finding Will; I think he and I would get along well after all
  48. HECK YA NANCY SHOOT THAT DEMAGOGUE'N MONSTER THING!
  49. it got away.. classic
  50. it’s back and now it’s on fire and I am very happy about it
  51. this is so cool watching people in the upside-down version of the house at the same time as other people are in the real house! it all makes sense now how the lights have been working this whole time!
  52. side note: even though I’m #teamjonathan, he has some serious helmet hair. Especially compared to Steve.
  53. Mike basically just confessed his love to Eleven and my heart is melting
  54. rocks are not going to defeat a demagogue'n, you naive children
  55. ELEVEN DON’T YOU DARE SACRIFICE YOURSELF
  56. ELEVEN NO
  57. WILL CAN’T BE DEAD TOO THEY HAVE TO SAVE HIM!
  58. The chief’s daughter.. Will.. I feel the tears coming
  59. I’ve been waiting to see them finally get Will home this is beautiful
  60. Did those waffles signify that Eleven is still out there?
  61. What just came out of Will’s body?!
  62. Although I still have some questions, I’m very satisfied with that ending

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
