On February 24th and 25th, UC Davis students, faculty, and community members gathered online to play Envision UC Davis. This 24-hour game elicited 28,226 ideas from 2,480 participants that will help identify the direction and future of UC Davis
About the Game
Envision UC Davis appears similar to Twitter or Reddit in that there's a feed of short posts (140 characters or fewer) and each idea breaks down into a further discussion of comments and favorites. The points system qualifies Envision as a game, which can be quite addicting with awesome prizes for people at the top of the leaderboard. Envision UC Davis created a shared online platform where people freely express ideas and collaborate to help shape the future of UC Davis. Many students played without knowing much about the game, so here is a list of 10 cool things most of you didn't know.
This is the first time the game has been played at an undergraduate university.
Student designers helped bring to life artifacts mentioned in the game.
Such as this post about free tuition. You can see all the artifacts created by UC Davis students at this blog post by Envision.
