Spring has sprung!

It's time for sunshine, flowers and spring vibes, people. It's the time of the year that the sun is shining and everyone wants to be outside. So, while you gather your things to go outside and relax, don't forget to grab one of these page-turners.

Trust me, you won't be able to put them down.

1. The Silent Sister by Diane Chamberlain

Imagine that everything you know is suddenly not true. Imagine that your whole life is everything that you thought it was, but then boom: it's not. Everything you once knew and loved is gone. Well, the book will have you flipping through the pages. Although the book can be sad, it is full of twists and when you think it can't get any crazier, it does.

2. Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris

Recommended by my friend, I just started the book and I'm already addicted. It's a thriller that excites you a little more when you turn each page. The book is about Jack and Grace, a couple that looks great on the outside, but is it all that great on the inside? Is it the perfect marriage or is it the perfect lie? (If you liked The Girl on the Train, it's definitely your type of book).

3. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

It is a book that's intriguing. It's a story filled with power, scandal and betrayal. If you're into Game of Thrones, The Hunger Games or The Selection Series, then give it a try. The book is filled with mythical action and the ending will leave you stunned and wanting to start the next book of the series.

4. Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon

A quick read, but worth it. Imagine the world around you makes you sick and you can't go outside for any reason. However, the power of Love makes you bush the boundaries. The ending will have you debating over it; did certain characters make the right decision?

5. Go Ask Alice by Anonymus

The book was something that was really difficult to read, but it sheds a light on drug addiction and it left a mark on me. The book is an anonymous diary of a teenage girl and her battle with addiction and drugs. It will allow you to see inside of someone who battles with addiction and how the descent into addiction and the world of drugs can rob you of your life.

6. The Perfect Mother by Nina Darnton

The book is a fictionalized account of the Amanda Knox case. It's a fast-paced thriller. The book is full of twists, grabbing hold of you and leaving you wondering the entire time.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
