If you don't put pasta underneath your chili, I question your motives. Greek chili is the best chili, and Skyline is the top of them all.

You either love Skyline or you don't love Skyline, but in my house we love Skyline. I had my first fully loaded coney dog at age three. I sat in the booth from my dad at our local Skyline Chili one Sunday afternoon after Church. My dad had his favorite- 2 fully loaded coneys, a 4-way juicy, and was loading oyster crackers on top of it all. I snatched the coney off his plate. He said "Anna, you won't like that" and to prove him wrong, I shoved a good portion of it into my mouth. That was the day I fell in love.

My family is from the Cincinnati area, so Skyline is just apart of our lives. My mom even went to high school with the grandsons of the owners of the restaurant! Skyline is my favorite restaurant of all time. It is a family tradition and is much more than a restaurant. The location I grew up attending is in Castleton, Indiana. My family and close friends would go there after church all the time.

We picked it up as takeout, or just went there for dinner at times. It was always a special day when we got to go to Skyline for dinner instead of making it from the can we always make sure to keep in our pantry. I even had my eleventh birthday party at Skyline! But aside from the memories I have at that Skyline, and the staff I have come to know over the years, the food itself is what has my heart. The chili is so delicious, and I love to load mine up with onions. The mile high pile of cheese is a serious blessing each and every time I order a 4-way onion. Like my dad, I put crackers on top to make it extra incredible.

Skyline never disappoints. It is amazing comfort food, a great dinner, a great snack, a great on-the-road meal. The noodles are next-level as well. I don’t know what they do to their pasta, but it has tiny little specs of red on it and I believe those specs are culinary magic. I am not even mad at people who only order the pasta and cheese because their pasta is extra special. Coney dogs are a creation of wonder as well.

They should be the 8th wonder of the world. A coney dog is a hot dog with the signature chili loaded on top. Then, they add mustard, onions, and CHEESE. Did I mention how good their cheese is? Of course, they make potatoes with chili, chili fries, chili soup… the list goes on and on. If I was stranded on an island and could only eat one thing every day, I would want a fully functional Skyline. I wanted to do a special article on my favorite restaurant.
