Sometimes the transition from finals to christmas can be kind of difficult, especially when your final grade might not be what you hoped for. Here's some ways to get into the holiday spirit!

1. Watch endless Christmas movies!

One of the best parts of December is 25 days of Christmas. If your school has Xfinity On Campus, I record all my favorites that are on during the day and watch them later on my laptop.

2. Make christmas cookies/desserts

Baking with my mom is one of my favorite traditions (even though it mostly involves me eating what she makes) and it always gets me in the spirit!

3. Go ICE SKATING

Grab your friends and hit the ice! I have the cutest our rink by my house and it makes for a lot of memories and cute insta pics!

4. Go sledding (if there is snow)

Build a snowman, snow angel or go sledding! Super fun and cheap way to have fun and you get to finish it up with some peppermint hot coco after!

5. Secret Santa

This has to be one of my favorite things about christmas; swapping gifts with my friends. Now since we are broke, we usually do a limit of about $20-$30 a person but its fun to keep it a secret and receive a secret gift as well

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
