Music is one of my favorite things in the entire world. I'm sure most people share the sentiment. For me, one of my best decisions was getting a Pandora account because it opened me up to a whole new world of music. It's how I discovered some of the artists on this list. When I listen to the radio, I feel like I continually hear the same people over and over and over again. Since I know that every person has a different music genre that they love, I'm going to try and list as many different artists as I can, from all different styles. Depending on what station you listen to or what type of music you like, these underrated music artists are definitely something you should check out!

1. ECHOSMITH

Admittedly, this was a band that I discovered because of Teen Wolf. This band formed in 2009, and is led by lead singer Sydney Sierota, with her three brothers making up the band. Their most popular song was Cool Kids which was released in 2013. Their style is similar to that of Owl City and Neon Trees, who they opened up for on each bands concert tours.

SONGS YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT: Cool Kids, Tell Her You Love Her.

2. TROYE SIVAN

Troye Sivan, who started out as a YouTuber, released his first EP, TRXYE, in 2014 which featured one of my favorite songs, Happy Little Pill. After that, his music career skyrocketed. In 2015, he released his second major EP, titled Wild, which featured the Blue Neighborhood trilogy. His voice has a soft, raspy tone to it, and his lyrics are full of meaning and metaphor. There are definitely songs on his EP's for everyone, from upbeat music to slow tracks that make you want to cry.

SONGS YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT: Happy Little Pill, Wild.

3. FALLING IN REVERSE

Falling in Reverse originated in 2008 and is led by lead singer, Ronnie Radke. This band falls is described as a hard rock band, but I would dare to venture that they fall into metal or alternative. Their debut album The Drug In Me Is You was dropped in 2011 and featured the title track. One of my personal favorites is Fashionably Late, which was released on the band's sophomore album of the same name.

SONGS YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT: Fashionably Late, I'm Not a Vampire, The Drug In Me Is You.

4. MELANIE MARTINEZ

Melanie first auditioned for the Voice in 2012 and chose Team Adam. She was eliminated in the fifth round and this led her to start working on her debut EP, Dollhouse, which dropped in 2014. In 2015, Melanie released Pity Party (using the Leslie Gore song as the chorus) off of her debut album, Cry Baby. Her lyrics (and videos) are very dark and talk about incredibly mature themes. That album is one of my favorites of all time.

SONGS YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT: Tag, You're It, Cry Baby, Pity Party, Mrs. Potato Head.

5. IMAGINE DRAGONS

I'm a little biased, seeing as this is my favorite band, but Imagine Dragons is a group you should totally check out. They premiered their debut album Night Visions in 2012, which featured the hit track It's Time. I would consider them to be an alternative/indie/rock band and I fall in love with every song I hear. More recently, they've been growing due to their song Sucker For Pain which was a feature track from Suicide Squad. Their second album Smoke + Mirrors was released in 2015 and was also wildly popular. (I should also add that I was lucky enough to see them live and it was one of the best concerts that I've ever been to).

SONGS YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT: Demons, Radioactive, Nothing Left to Say, Warriors, I Bet My Life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
