Summertime is sweet and many are out looking for that summer love. With such beautiful New England summer weather you don't want to spend your time inside, so take your date outside! Here are five ideas for outdoor dates to get your summer started!

1. Hartford Yard Goats Game

Baseball games are a great location for a date! The Hartford Yard Goats are a dynamic team playing in downtown Hartford at the new Dunkin Donuts Park. They have a plethora of food and drink options, a stellar team shop to hook you up with fan gear and picturesque sunsets. Unlike the movies, you can easily talk through a baseball game and with the Goats, there will be plenty to talk about!

2. Buttonwood Sunflower Farm

Each year Buttonwood Sunflower farm partners with Make-a-Wish for the Sunflowers for Wishes fundraiser! There are beautiful sunflowers to stroll through and take pictures, bouquets for purchase and over 40 different types that they make right there on the farm! Check it out July 22-30!

3. Adventure Park in Storrs

If you're both adventure and thrill seekers then the Adventure Park is for you! With zip lines, challenge bridges, and trails you are both bound to have a blast at the park! You can even enjoy the park at night when it is illuminated with LED lights!

4. Drive-in Movie

The Mansfield, Barkhamsted, and Southington Drive-ins are some of the most popular drive-in theaters in Connecticut. You can catch classic flicks and more modern ones too! Pile in your car with lot of snacks and blankets and you'll be ready for a romantic night!

5. Hike Talcott Mountain

Atop the beautiful Talcott Mountain trail is the Hueblein Tower which offers a great view of Simsbury and the surrounding area. The trail is challenging enough where you may need to hold the hand of your partner. There is also a nice picnic area at the top where you can sit and chat or pack a cute picnic for yourselves to enjoy!
