Getting healthy is not only a daunting task, but it's also not an easy one. Despite what some people may say, it's really hard getting yourself to the gym three to five times a week, eating clean and drinking a gallon of water a day. It's like, really hard. And let's be honest, the last thing you want to do after working all day or being in class is to go to the gym and make yourself even more tired. Trust me, I get it. I've been there and done that. But I also understand being tired of not liking how you look in the mirror. I get how you hate going shopping because "that won't look good on me" runs through your head every time you see something you might want to buy. I totally know how you feel when you dread taking pictures because you don't want to see yourself not looking your best all over Instagram the next day. While being physically tired is an uncomfortable feeling, all of the things I just mentioned are worse. I understand that getting healthy is a lifestyle change, but if you're ready for it, here are a few things that might give you some motivation to keep going! It's time to start loving the way you look, and feeling even better. So, are you with me?

1. Looking freaking awesome in that bathing suit.

Don't you wanna feel confident in anything you wear, including a bathing suit? I'm talking one piece, two piece or whatever you feel comfortable in. Just knowing that you can rock whatever you put on should be reason enough to get healthy ASAP.

2. Loving how you look in pictures.

Gone will be the days of "can we take another one" and "I look so bad in that." Soon enough, you'll be doing the Ri-Ri "oh stop" wave like you don't know how hot you are, but deep down you'll know you're the best looking one in the room.

3. Being honestly happy with yourself.

And when I say happy, I'm talking Jennifer Lopez happy.

4. Going shopping and loving trying things on.

The world will be your stage, and you must give the people what they want and perform. Once you're healthy, you'll have all the confidence in the world, and trying things on will become your favorite part of shopping.

5. Being able to say no.

Being healthy comes with choices, and saying "no" to unhealthy food because you simply don't want it will be the best feeling ever. You're no longer saying "no" because you "can't" or you "aren't allowed to." Instead you'll be saying it because being healthy and continuing to love the way you look and feel are way more important to you than that Taco Bell.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
