My niece Luna was born a week before I got married which made her even more special to me. Since I became an aunt, I have experienced so much love I didn't know I could have.
1.You get to help shape the life of this little human.

2. You get to spoil them and give them back to their parents.
Who doesn't love giving a three year old sugar and then not having to deal with the hyperness? Me! It is pure joy to be able to buy my niece or get her hyper then hand her back to her mom.
3. You develop an unbreakable bond.
Because you aren't their parent you develop more of a friendship bond. You are able to laugh with them and do adventures that they can't do with their parents. You get to help them when they are sad or struggling. And be there for their best moments.
4. You get to show them how to be creative.
If you want to help them change their F into an A on their report card or show them the correct way to get cereal, you are able to. Shining light onto their creative abilities is part of your duty being their aunt/uncle.
5. The love you have for your little human is special.
Even if you have children of you own being aunt is special because the bond is special. Treasure the sacred time you have them.
