Everyone should vote. No matter if you're a college student or a senior citizen, you matter!

You are giving up your right as a U.S. citizen if you don't.

By giving up your right, you are not exercising your right as an American citizen.

There is no reason for you to not educate yourself on issues that matter.

We are in a generation where technology is at our finger tips! The internet allows voters to find out clear definitions of the candidates' policies and stances.

Your vote matters.

There is a misconception that our votes don't matter due to the electoral college, but that is not the case. Throughout our history, elections have been decided by a handful of votes. Especially within local elections, those are seen to be decided from a coin-flip.

You decide what is best for society.

Voting provides the opportunity for you to make a change. You are voting for candidates and policies concerning your best interests, which no one else will be doing.

Demonstrating concern for the next generation.

By voting, you are demonstrating to the younger generation that it is important. In this time, major changes need to be made in our society and by voting, this will do just that!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
