5 Popular Series That Suck

How many times have you watched a tv series that was hyped up but once you watched it, you were disappointed and found that you had wasted your time. Some series just suck but people like to watch because their peers watch it and it is a great topic to talk about. Also, a series might start out great but after several seasons, it might become less appealing and find ourselves yawning while watching it. The thing about tv series or films is that it is art, which is always subjective. Nevertheless, below are series i did not enjoy or grew tired of.

1)How I Met Your Mother – I cannot remember how many times a friend of mine has told me to watch it and I did but could not find it funny or enjoyable. Every time, I tried to watch it, all I could think about was how it copied Friends or it was just another version. This show did not even try to hide the fact they were copying Friends and it aired right after the series ended. Come on now! Smh!

2)The Office – I cannot understand how people find this series entertaining. I gave up after, I watched two episodes. Sure, Pam and Jim’s relationship was cute and all but the rest was just boring. I felt they tried really hard to be comedic, which turned me off.

3)The Walking Dead – Oh boy! The fact that I do not like zombies turned me off and made me not want to watch this series. I only gave it a chance because Jeffery Dean Morgan was in there but I liked him better as Denny in Grey’s Anatomy. He is a great actor but my likeness for him could not make me stick around.

4)Pretty Little Liars – How many A’s are there?????? I gave up after three seasons because it got really old and annoying due to a new “A” every week. I like a good mystery but this is something, I will not recommend any mystery lovers to watch. I think the only reasons many people tuned in was because of the girls’ relationship drama with their respective lovers.

5) 13 Reasons Why – I started watching this series because I kept seeing it on a social media site. I thought to give it a try because why not? Initially, I liked it because Kate Walsh was in there and the fact that a dead girl left recording behind for her peers explaining why she committed suicide. It was pretty interesting but it got plain boring. That’s it! I could not sit through another episode.

You probably might have any friends left, after admitting to not liking these popular shows but how long can you sit through without stabbing your eyes out? One cannot continue to watch a series because their best friend likes it, it is time to tell him or her the truth. Like they say, honesty is the best policy!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
