5 Places That Are Worth Seeing Twice

The world is a big place, but here are 5 places I would travel to again.

5 Places That Are Worth Seeing Twice
Jessie Searles

I have traveled to over 18 different countries in my lifetime, and I have seen many different things. I have seen everything from the hustling bustling city of New York to the calm and quiet Norwegian Fjords. I would love to go back to every place I have been, but since I know that is not realistic here are 5 places I would travel to again.

5. Grand Canyon National Park

The Grand Canyon is arguably the most beautiful natural wonder in the world. It is area is over 1,900 miles and it is the largest canyon in the world. This picture was taken at the south rim on a day it was snowing. Highly recommend coming here at different times of the year so you can see the change in seasons.

4. London, England

London is one of my favorite cities in the world. The rich history of London is what makes it so interesting to travel to. I believe that this city is similar to Washington D.C when it comes to the feel. Both have a very rich history and they are political centers for their perspective countries. If you go to London, make sure you see the House of Lords or the House of Commons in action and take a ride on the double-decker bus.

3. Schwangau, Germany

The castle pictured above is Neuschwanstein castle located south of Munich, Germany. This castle was the one in which the Disney castles are currently based off of. Prince Ludwig lived in this castle and never allowed a single soul into his castle while he was alive. Six weeks after his death, they started to do tours in the magnificent palace. I would highly recommend this trip if you are in southern Germany, the castle is remarkable.

2. St. Petersburg, Russia

We hear a lot of things about Russia in the news, but we don't really get to see a lot of information about its culture and way of life. I highly recommend if you have the opportunity to go to Russia that you take it. It changed the way I look at the political beast and the people who live there.

1. Copenhagen, Denmark

Copenhagen is probably my favorite city in the world. I have been here twice now (I even skipped walking at my high school graduation to come back) and loved it, even more, the second time. Copenhagen is one of the happiest cities in the world and has a rich history of culture especially in the Nyhaven area. This city is different then any other city I have been to, and one I believe everyone should see.

These 5 places I have recommended are some of the most remarkable I have ever been to, but that doesn't mean that my travel stops here. There are so many beautiful areas to see in the world, and this is just the beginning. If you are given the opportunity to travel, I highly recommend you take it. This world is larger than where you live, go see it.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
